4 Side Gigs That Require No Experience

Don’t let a lack of experience keep you from starting a new side gig that can supplement your income. As you’ll see with these examples, no experience is necessary.

What’s one thing that holds many people back from earning the income they desire? Besides a lack of opportunity, it’s a lack of experience. And while experience is necessary for specific careers and roles, you don’t need it to start a side gig that can boost your monthly income.

What’s a side gig? Unlike a formal job, it’s something that you do on occasion to earn money. You can do a gig once or frequently, which gives you flexibility in terms of your schedule and lets you make money when you need it.

Do some side gigs require certain skills and experience levels? Sure. But there are so many side gigs out there, that your opportunities are endless. And the following list includes side gigs where you can get your feet wet as a beginner, even if you’ve never completed these tasks before.

1. Renting out your yard.

You may have no room inside your house to put it up for rent on Airbnb. But if you have a big backyard, you could put that section of your house up for rent on Sniffspot.com.

What is Sniffspot? It’s a site where dog walkers and sitters can find safe spaces for furry friends. Why does it exist? Because some dogs need private spaces so they can run around, which is where your yard can save the day.

How much can you make by renting your yard on Sniffspot? Some make $1,000 a month, and there’s no need to interact with the dogs or be home, making it a nice form of passive income.

2. Renting out your baby supplies.

Here’s another no-experience side gig that involves renting out something you own to other people. Only instead of renting out your yard to Rover, you’ll be renting out your baby supplies to traveling parents.

With BabyQuip.com, you can rent out baby gear and become a provider that earns between $600 and $5,000 monthly. So, if you have a crib or stroller sitting around that’s collecting dust, get it ready, along with your other baby stuff, and put it on BabyQuip for extra cash.

3. Being a line sitter.

It doesn’t take much skill to stand in line. Believe it or not, though, this is a service many people need, as they may not have the time to stand in line themselves.

Create a profile on a site like TaskRabbit to provide your line sitting services, and you could make up to $25 per hour. And if you get enough demand for your services, you can start your own company like Robert Samuel, the Same Ole Line Dudes owner, to earn an average of $2,000 per week in revenue.

How can this be profitable? Because some people don’t want to stand in line for event tickets, iPhones, Black Friday, etc. They will pay a premium for it, though, making this an under-the-radar way to make money.

4. Renting out your closet.

Would you like another way to earn passive side income? Head to Neighbor.com and rent out your closet, garage, parking space, or any other area in your home.

Some people would prefer to pay private owners for storage space instead of large companies. By renting out your space on Neighbor.com, you could earn anywhere from $200 to $1,000 per month.
